Reducing mildew by strengthening plants

When used for long periods, Multikraft technology reduces the frequency of mildew in cut roses by up to 32 per cent and the severity of the mildew by 19.3 per cent. 

A white or grey film on roses is an unmistakable sign of mildew. How can the beauty of roses be preserved in the long term? Simply use a spray solution containing MK Soil, Terrafert Leaf, fermented garlic and chilli extract, Fermented Plant Extract (FPE), EM ceramic powder and organic whey powder.

The trial

Cut roses were replanted in the Worm system (a growing system in drainage buckets with automatic irrigation). Conventional fertiliser was used. In the two subsequent years, the leaves of the roses were sprayed weekly and monitored.

Multikraft spray solution made of:

- 2% EM active (MK Soil)

- 0.5% Terrafert Leaf

- 0.2% fermented garlic and chilli extract

- 0.2% FPE (Fermented Plant Extract)

- 0.1% EM ceramic powder

- 0.1% organic whey powder

Results

A year after the roses were planted, all the variants showed positive results in terms of the severity and the frequency of powdery mildew attacks. During the last evaluation in particular, the treatment with the Multikraft spray solution had the best results.

As a preventive measure and at the start of an attack, plant strengtheners can control powdery mildew. If the plant is under severe pressure or the attack has progressed, this is difficult but not impossible.
