MK Leaf and Multical have a highly positive effect on the growth of lettuces. The number of leaves can be increased by almost 31 per cent.

The trial

The study focused on lettuces of the Osterley variety which were planted in loamy soil. Immediately afterwards, the plants were sprayed with a solution of MK Leaf and Multical on the basis of the recommendation of 3 litres of MK Leaf and 3 kilogrammes of Multical per hectare. For six weeks, the plants were treated once a week with the solution.

Results

The treatment had significant effects on the development of the lettuces. The average number of leaves increased by 30.8 per cent. It also had a positive impact on the length of the leaves, which were on average 31.8 per cent larger.
