Clean your floors without chemicals using probiotic floor cleaners with Effective Microorganisms

Cleaning the floors in your home is often a tricky task, because some surfaces cannot withstand aggressive cleaning agents that remove grease. This is not the case with probiotic cleaners with Effective Microorganisms. The benefit of our eMC® power cleaner is that it is suitable for all surfaces. Because of the combination of natural ingredients, the cleaning effect lasts for longer than conventional products and reduces the recurrence of dirt. In addition, the power cleaner produces an attractive long-lasting shine.

How to extend the lifetime of your floors

Our floors have to withstand a lot: dirt, moisture, vacuuming and washing, the movement of our feet and much more. Depending on the type of floor, different cleaning methods and products are needed. A parquet floor, for example, has a lifetime of 30 to 40 years on average, if looked after properly. It is important to avoid incorrect cleaning products, grit, rough microfibre cloths, acidic or alkaline substances, aggressive cleaners and solvents. Vinyl flooring, by contrast, is much easier to look after, because it is much tougher.

You should take note of the following four points:

  • Before you start cleaning, remove everything standing on the floor, including chairs and small rugs.
  • Use the vacuum cleaner before you start washing the floor. This removes any loose dirt and dust, which saves wear on the mop.
  • After this, you can wash the floor. To do this, you need a mop or a floor cloth, a cleaning product and water. It is important to wring out the floor cloth thoroughly so that the floor does not get too wet. You should avoid leaving puddles on wooden floors in particular, as this could lift the flooring.
  • We also recommend opening windows, because the moisture from the cleaning process needs to escape quickly to prevent mould from forming in the house.

The best hints and tips for thorough floor cleaning

  • Before you start washing the floor, put objects like bins and chairs up on the furniture.

  • Remove dirt and dust with the vacuum cleaner. Do not use a broom, because it just lifts the dust and redistributes it.

  • Open the windows beforehand and the floor will dry more quickly.

  • Then you can mop or wash the floor. You should ideally use eMC® power cleaner with a mop or floor cloth.

  • Do not make wooden floors too wet, because too much moisture can build up underneath.

  • Always start in the furthest corner of the room and work towards the door.

  • Change the water frequently, otherwise you will just redistribute the dirt.

  • To get the best results, you should finish by wiping over the floor with a dry cloth.
